Outside School Hours Care

Trafalgar Primary School is partnering with YMCA Children’s Programs to deliver Outside School Hours Care services that supports our school community.

The Y will commence management of these services in January 2021 when children return to school in Term 1.


Their services include:

· Before and After School Program available daily during the school term.

· Pupil free days available when school closes for staff development sessions.

· School Holiday Program full days of care available outside the school term.

These services are an ideal solution for busy families, providing a fun, friendly and relaxed environment for children to grow and learn beyond the classroom.

Booking and enrolment

Families wishing to use this service can visit the YMCA Children’s Programs website to learn more about the program, pricing and to start the booking and enrolment process.

To support families through this process, the Y is providing following support sessions:

Zoom Webinar | Tuesday 24 November | 6:30pm

An online webinar which provides families an opportunity to meet the YMCA team and ask questions about their programs.

Onsite Enrolment Support | Wednesday 2 December | 2:00pm - 4:00pm

YMCA staff will be at school to help you through the enrolment process, answer any questions and put a face to the program.

About the Y

YMCA Children’s Programs is an established early childhood education and care provider, which operates over 70 services across Victoria.

The Y is an accredited child-safe organisation with safeguarding standards and COVID safety measure embedded across all its services.

We are currently working with the Y’s leadership team to develop a COVID safety plan specific to our school facilities.

Session hours

Sessions run Monday to Friday on campus grounds from our school hall.

To accommodate our families, the Y offers care during the following hours:

  • Before School Care: 6:30am to 8:45am

  • After School Care: 3:25pm to 6:00pm

  • Pupil free days: 6:30am to 6:00pm
